Overview
ORESS is a free schedule planner for students of Notre Dame University–Louaize (NDU), on all of its campuses. It reads the university’s published course offerings and turns them into a timetable a student can build in minutes, in the browser.
It is unofficial and student-built, and not affiliated with NDU.
The problem
Planning a semester means reading the course offerings section by section and checking every combination for overlaps by hand. A clash found late means starting the schedule again.
Comparing two possible schedules, or keeping one safe until registration, meant notes and screenshots.
The approach
Start from the data students already rely on: the published offerings, searchable by instructor, day, time slot and department. Courses go onto a visual timetable grid that highlights an overlap as soon as it appears.
Browsing needs no account. Signing in with an NDU email adds the rest: schedules save automatically, options sit side by side, and a schedule leaves as a PDF or an .ors file that can be imported again.
