Overview

Sophie Labaki is a fashion designer in Beirut, a graduate of the Elie Saab School of Fashion at the Lebanese American University. Her site presents her collections, her process and the rest of her practice to studios and collaborators.

The work is visual first, so the garments, photographs, illustrations and film carry the site, and the interface stays out of their way.

The problem

A design portfolio usually travels as a PDF: heavy to send, hard to read on a phone, and with no room for film or process.

Sophie needed one address to share with every application, with each collection told properly and the CV and portfolio a click away.

The approach

Each collection, Fusion and The After Trace, gets its own story: process, lookbook and, for The After Trace, the short film. Digital illustrations, sketches and AI-assisted work sit in galleries of their own.

The CV, full portfolio, sketchbook, jewelry design and photography stay one click away as downloads, and every image is served as WebP so the galleries load quickly.
